Description:
The Blood brain barrier profiler is associated with phenomena penetration of chemicals from blood to the brain. Modeled endpoint used in the current profiler is: LogBBB. The profiler consists of two categories: “Good permeable” and “Poor permeable”. The categories are based on parametric boundaries. The values for parametric boundaries ensure maximum specificity given the sensitivity threshold (sensitivity >= 80%; i.e. risk <= 20%). The profiler was developed on a basis of classification tree approach. The process of boundaries generation is oriented towards the hazard predictions of chemicals. The profiler was developed from a dataset of 1782 discrete chemicals with observed logBBB data. The profiler is appropriate for classification of chemicals and it is not recommended to be used for predictive purposes.
