Description:
The Ecotox pharmaceuticals database is developed by the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) and the National Institute of Health Sciences (NIHS) under the grant from the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development in fiscal year 2019 to 2024, which compiles experimental results on the aquatic toxicity of pharmaceuticals. This database contains pharmaceutical information (substance name, CAS number, chemical formula, SMILES), and the toxicity values of the following endpoints: 50% effective concentration (EC50), 50% inhibition concentration (IC50), 50% lethal concentration (LC50) or no-observed-effect concentration (NOEC) values for representative aquatic species (algae, crustaceans or fishes). The toxicity data in the database are extracted from the reports published by the European Medicines Agency or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Safety Data Sheets and other literature. The database is also published in the HP of NIHS in Japan.
